Regal Electronics Announces Updated White Paper
“Designing for Sound Quality in Portable Devices”
Sunnyvale, CA — Regal Electronics has announced a update to its popular white paper “Designing for Sound Quality.” With many devices, especially portable devices, serving as full-fledged multi-media centers, quality sound is becoming more important to consumers. Regal’s white paper addresses what to consider when designing for sound quality and, as importantly, what to consider when designing for various environmental conditions, such as heat, humidity and vibration. According to Regal CEO Madeleine Lee, “Choosing a speaker is typically the last item covered in the design process—typically in the context of what will fit. Addressing speaker system design at the initial stages of a project allows for greater design flexibility, fewer post-production issues, and ultimately, better sound quality.”
Regal offers a complete line of micro and miniature speakers and sound devices ranging in size from “micro”: 10mm to 15mm; “miniature”: 15mm to 36 mm; and the larger 18mm to 90mm oval. Regal’s “Quick Ship” program, in by 4:00PM out the same day, is available for prototype applications, including the majority of Regal’s speaker and sound devices.
