A modular connector is an electrical connector that was originally designed for use in telephone wiring, but has since been utilized for an assortment of other applications. Regal’s broad offering of Modular Jacks and Plugs offer premium performance for voice, data and high-speed networking applications.

Plugs are used to terminate loose cables and cords, while jacks are used for fixed locations on surfaces such as walls, panels, and on equipment. Two cables with mod plugs can be connected using a coupler, which consists of two female jacks wired back-to-back.
